Beep, beep, beep. I woke up and I just remembered from last night that the master wizard, Labunios, told me to bring the gemstone I found last week. I opened my curtains and my pet dragon, Scorcher, was finally being less hostile to his new baby sister, Domsins. I quickly get ready and go outside to go get the gemstone I hid in the foggy forest.

“Scorcher come on let’s go”, I called out.

I put on his saddle, as I started flying to the foggy forest where the sky was unclear and so was my destiny.

I was flying for a while but I knew it was a week trip to the foggy forest and another to go to Labunios’s castle. I saw a river and it was splashing with life, deer drinking out of it, river otters playing, and young beavers splashing each other. It was very beautiful seeing them. I knew we had to find shelter soon because it was starting to get dark but I couldn’t find any.

“Scorcher, I know you’re getting tired but I need you to keep going until I find a shelter or at least something with a roof.”, I told him.

2

A day passed and we were still far away from the forest and a shelter was nowhere to be found. Scorcher was looking a little pale so had to stop and take a rest. I gave Scorcher some water and food too of course, I ate a piece of bread and water and we were on our way. I was still looking for shelter because me and Scorcher were exhausted. After a while I found an abandoned shed and me and Scorcher stopped to rest for the night. We landed and I gave Scorcher a big gulp of water and he devoured it. I did realize I was short on food so I didn’t eat for the night but I drank a little water and I curled up to sleep.

When I woke up I saw baby unicorns playing together, then I woke up Scorcher and we were on our way but the wind seemed mad. The wind was blowing and I thought I was about to lose my food and water but thankfully it didn’t.

“Scorcher come on.”, I yelled out.

3

He rose up and danced with his feet, it was as adorable as the little baby unicorns playing earlier. We flew in the gentle, chill air as the sun was rising. All of the birds in the air were flying with us, and I recognized a little fellow. I remember I named him Echo, his little cute chirps always echoed in the wind so it seemed reasonable. After a few hours of flying I started to get hungry so we stopped and ate some food. When I was eating I saw a magnificent phoenix giving some food to its babies.

After moments of time, the sun was about to fall and it was getting colder. The gale was blowing as the wind around me was starting to change, Scorcher was getting tired very fast but we were going very slow. I was very concerned about Scorcher and I was anxious that someone might steal the gemstone, but I had to stay hopeful. When the sun fell, Scorcher fell down and we crashed in an open field with a beautiful sunset in the sky. I quickly gave Scorcher some water and bandaged his injured left wing. When the sun fell many creatures that roamed the area came to visit us, the night sky beamed with stars as me and Scorcher fell deep asleep.

4

The next morning I knew Scorcher was weak and wouldn’t be able to fly or we would risk him getting injured more severely. But, I knew if I didn’t keep going someone is bound to steal the gemstone. I opened up my map and I got Scorcher ready for flight and we went on. I studied Scorcher’s wing for a while but it seemed okay to me, so I stopped worrying. I realized that we were actually almost there just a few more miles away. I knew we would arrive soon.

Through the mist I glided. As I looked down my face fell in horror. I saw that the gemstone was missing,

“WHAT!” I shouted “I JUST HAD IT!”.

5

I was very worried about what I would do, I didn’t know if I should go and try to find a new gemstone or if I should look for the person who stole it. After a while, I decided I should just go look for it because it would take forever to find a new gemstone because it’s one in one million. I started making a field of notes of all the possible possibilities about how someone might know about it or even steal it.

I didn’t sleep at all that night, I was awake calculating all of the possibilities and I was looking at the daring night sky screaming at me. I went on my journey and I found a man that looked like my age and he was with a young looking cat. I decided I would go talk to that man and ask if he knew about a gemstone. He looked at me sharply like I killed his whole family.

6

“YOU REALLY THINK I STOLE YOUR LITTLE STUPID GEMSTONE.”, he yelled out as he stared into my soul.

I stood there silently as the wind blew in between us.

I was about to say something but then he turned around and looked at the ground and regretfully whispered, “I-I’m sorry a guy who killed my whole family was looking for a gemstone many years ago. I guess I never moved on and I have some deep trauma from it.”,

I glanced at him, feeling guilty that I accused an innocent man that had deep trauma about a gemstone and his family. I went on my journey and I found myself in a forest nearby and I saw an abandoned little town with a sign called, “stay out, you might get swept away too…”. I was terrified of this town but I knew I couldn’t just leave and not find the gemstone at all.

7

I found a little shed in the backyard of a house and unpacked my stuff. Scorcher was also very curious about the area so I let him explore.

After a while, I called him and he came rushing towards me and I sang him a little lullaby, “Beneath their silver shine, drift to sleep… O sweet prince of mine, drift to a good night sleep…”

He slept right away and I felt a little sense of reassurance. I was very drained so I slept fairly quickly too. The next morning I woke up and went on the search for the gemstone. At this point I forgot what it looked like so I decided to just ask random explorers with gemstones. At first no one came but then a suspicious looking guy walked through the street with a bag full of gemstones and I got very suspicious.

8

“Hello may I look at the gemstones you have, sir?” I blurted out and he reluctantly nodded.

I looked at them but I couldn’t find that one gemstone.

I questioned him, “did you see any rare gemstones on your trail?”

He replied with a huge sigh and said, “I didn’t. I’m very sorry but kind sir. I would be delighted to give you a gemstone for free if you’d like.”

“Thank you for your generous offer but I don’t need any gemstones at the moment, again thank you.”, I told him.

9

Later that afternoon, as the wind was silently blowing a young man was searching for a place to rest, at least from what I could tell. He walked into a shady little cottage and I began to suspect him. When the day was about to end he came back outside holding a gemstone that looked similar to the one I was looking for, so I approached him.

“Hello there, my name is Henry and I came to find my lost gemstone. Would you care if I asked some questions?” I asked.

“Y-you MAY NOT, oh excuse me, my apologies but I would not want anyone to ask me questions, I am very busy.” He replied with a strange expression.

“Please sir I would love to just ask a few questions, it wouldn’t even take long, please.” I said desperately.

“Sir, like I said I am very… busy.” He smiled nervously.

“PLEASE!”, I said pleading.

“I… sure,” he said reluctantly.

10

“Oh my, thank you, thank you so much!” I said gladly.

“Did you see a kunzite or a pink gemstone on your way here?” I queried.

He looked and smiled at me and nodded. I jumped up and down excitedly. I ran towards the way he came and I actually found it!

“Scorcher, SCORCHER WE FOUND IT!!!!!” I exclaimed.

I was SO glad I found it. I would have died if I didn’t. I flew across an empty land. I sat on the ground and a sunset was happening, a beautiful one indeed.

11

I was flying towards the mountain where Labunios’s castle was but then a foggy creature appeared and attacked us. Scorcher was horrifyingly injured. I was so frightened by that creature I didn’t even sleep that night. In the morning I realized Scorcher was badly injured and he couldn’t fly because his left wing had a tear.

I tried calling my sister because she’s an expert at dragons. But she wouldn’t answer so then I tried making a replacement wing but it wouldn’t work, so I immediately started to make a camp for us to stay for a while but I knew I had to get to Labunios’s castle soon or else something terrifying might happen.

12

I built a fire and went to get fish but when I came back I saw a little unicorn and looked like it was playing with Scorcher. It was a very adorable sight to see in such bad weather. I realized that hope was not lost, it just had to be found. I called my sister again but she wouldn’t answer but then I remembered my sister was nearby because she called me 2 weeks ago that she would be going to an abandoned town for work and I saw an abandoned village just last night for fishing so I left Scorcher by himself and went to the village.

When I went to the village I saw a familiar figure and approached her. When I did I realized that it was my sister and I told her my story and we rushed back to Scorcher. My sister helped him and she made him an actually working replacement wing and told me I should take it off in about a month and we took off.

13

I checked if I still had the gem and I did, in fact, it was still in excellent condition. While I was flying I dropped my bag and I didn’t realize until we were very far.

I told Scorcher to turn and go the way we had gone and I searched for a bright blue bag that was filled with useful stuff but then I realized that my gem was in there too. In a flash I went from calm to horrified.

I jumped off and went to search for my bag and I searched for quite a while but I still couldn’t find it. I remembered I put a tracking device on there so I tried tracking it but it said it was at home so I just looked for it. I couldn’t find it but then I saw Scorcher holding a bright blue bag and I realized it was mine!! I cried with joy and I went to Labunios’s castle and I hoped no trouble would happen along the way.

I went to Labunios’s castle and I gave him the gem but then he said he tricked me and tried killing me but I didn’t get killed and I went home and my adventure came to an end.
